We adopted a new dog from the pound. Not long after she figured out how to open the front door. We live in a rural neighborhood zoned for agriculture. She got loose one time and ran down the street. Our neighbor claims that she "came after him in his own yard". Aka she barked at him from the street. We put up baby gates so she can't get to the door. Next he called animal control and claims that she barks all day every day. She is an indoor dog and only spends minimal time outside. 5 days ago our horses got loose accidentally and ran down the street. Terrifying in itself! He called animal control today saying the horses get out on a ongoing basis and "trespass" on his property. This is the very first escape since we moved in 9 months ago. I am offended that if he has a problem that he doesn't speak to me first. Never tried to do this peacefully. What can I do to stop these ridiculous over exaggerated calls to law enforcement? At what point does it become harassment?
