What Is The Best Commercial Mild Low/no Salt Cajun Seasoning From Louisiana?

Postby Taaveti » Fri Feb 07, 2014 11:38 pm

I need to bring back a cajun seasoning from Louisiana that is only available there for my San Francisco foodies. This leaves out Tony Chachere's, Emeril's and Paul P's Magic. Of course it is always better to mix your own spices, and they do. However, it's nice to bring back a blend that is indigenous to the area and not as known on the West Coast.Any thoughts?

JEMS_Mom said: 1 I am going to have to come back to this for you. I know the chef who taught Paul alot of what he knows and who Paul took his seasonings from. Sadly, a search for him and his seasonings turned up nothing. His name is Chef Gephardt Brill, in case you can find something I can't. 54 months ago

I know they are not located right in Louisiana, but they have great fresh spices. And a lot of them are no salt.   Here is their website:  http://www.penzeys.com/cgi-bin/penzeys/shophome.html   You can order from their site, or you can check to see if they have a store near you.
