When A Person Puts On False Eyelashes & Uses Mascara, When They Remove The Mascara, Do The False Eyelashes Come Off?

I saw a topic of discussion a few days ago about someone going to try false eyelashes and meant to mark it to ask this question. I've never tried false eyelashed, but as I age, seems like my lashes are getting shorter,or either my eyes are sinking back.....yuck. Anyways, I was curious if false eyelashes are only good for one day's wear if they come off with the makeup remover(I use baby oil to remove my mascara).

Remove the false eyelashes first. I wear false eyelashes when performing onstage, and I only use mascara on my lower lashes. The false ones are thick and lush. Mascara can make them clumpy and heavier. The only reason I would use mascara on the upper lashes is if your eyelash color doesn?t match the color of the false ones. I?d apply the mascara to your natural lashes, then apply the false ones.   Depending on the adhesive you use, the false eyelashes can take a good amount of rubbing and tugging. I always remove the lashes before taking off the rest of my makeup. I can get quite a few wearings from a pair before they get too misshapen from the tugging required to remove them. When you apply your false eyelashes, make sure that you apply a thin strip of the adhesive and place them just above your lash line, not physically ON your lashes, because you don?t want to pull or damage any of your real lashes when you remove the lashes. Save the tray the false eyelashes came in to store them, because provided that you properly cleanse them and take care of them, you can reuse false eyelashes several times. I would absolutely recommend that you remove the eyelashes every night to prevent irritation or infection to your eyes and protect your real lashes. Also this will preserve your false eyelashes so you can use them again. Removing false eyelashes is quite simple: DO not yank pull of your eyelashes without loosening the glue first. This can and will damage your real lashes. Be gentle! Use a cotton ball to dab false eyelash remover(you can also use baby oil or regular eye makeup remover, both work fine) on your lash line to dissolve the glue. When you notice that the glue is dissolve and the eyelashes are loosened, gently pull the false eyelashes from the outer corner. Use baby oil or eye makeup remover to cleanse & remove traces of the adhesive and eye makeup from your eyes.  Follow these tips to cleanse the fake eyelashes so you can reuse them:After you have carefully removed the false eyelashes, wash them gently with a little bit of warm water and a tiny bit of facial soap to clean them and take off the glue on the band. If you don?t want them to get them wet, you can use eye makeup remover and a q-tip to remove the glue from the lashes. Dry the lashes gently and store them back in the tray they came in.     Hope this helps! FYI : There are several fake eyelash adhesives on the market depending on desired results. Some dry clear, some dry dark or brown(to blend better with eyeliner), some are waterproof(which I would ONLY recommend if you are going to be very active or want to swim with them on ? although swimming with them on might not be a good idea). A brand I like is DUO. It?s inexpensive and you can find it anywhere. A lot of industry professionals that I know like this adhesive, because it is gentle, does not hurt your real lashes or eyes, and it?s easy to remove.

Anytime I use false lashes I take them off at night, so they don't fall off or so I don't pick at them in my sleep. As far as them coming off when you remove them with baby oil... I think if you have applied individual lashes then they will most likely come off. If you have applied a strip of lashes above your natural lashes, then they may stay on better. I recommend trying to remove them in the shower because the steam loosens the glue.

False eyelashes... A friend of mine wore false eyelashes and when she was in make up.. oh, she really looked great... The eyelashes looked good and everything... it wasn't until I saw her without make up I realized that she didn't have real eyebrows either.. she draws them on... I have seen her with no make up and wearing her eyelashes... but she told me that when she takes her make up off she also takes them off... if she chooses she will put the eyelashes back on after cleaning her face of all its make up... She said that her eyelashes are just like eyeliner.. they come off when you clean your face and then its up to her whether she puts them back on or not... Sometimes she sleeps with them on and then the next morning when getting ready for work the only thing she adds is make up because her eyelashes are already in place. Yes, most false eyelashes come off quite easily, you would normally apply mascara after you put on the false eyelashes so that your natural lashes stick to the false lashes. So naturally when you remove the mascara it will also pull parts of the false lashes from your eyes. But don't throw the false lashes away, you can clean off the mascara and reuse the false eyelashes a few more times before the fibers come apart. I like to use this cheap brand, but very soft and durable called Model 21 Eyelashes. You can find them for under $1 a pair, sold in boxes of ten pairs.
