When did our awesome government decide?

that corporations should not have to bear the expense of safety equipment. My employer doesn't provide me with a back belt, ear plugs or hepafilters anymore. If I want them, I have to buy them for myself.
It used to be a law that employers had to provide workers with safety equipment. When did it change? Is it not obvious that our government now works for corporations, not we the people?

Yeah as citizen of America, I am entitled to a bunch of free stuff. Free because my employer should pay for it. Yay America!

Something tells me they didn't. They must provide a safe workplace for the job you are asked to perform. I suggest you call OSHA and confirm.

Yeah, that sucks... In Canada, employers are responsible for our safety according to WHMIS.

I can't help but laugh at those anti-regulation people who want no government interference... this is what you get, bad labor practices... Unions used to stand up to corporations and demand worker rights... welcome to the world of disappearing unions...
