I'm a law-abiding person who loves the USA and would like to immigrate their once. Unfortunately, my possibilities to do that are restricted to marrying an American and having an employer stick their neck out for me and do all the paper work. Both are kinda unlikely and out my control.
That's why I'm kinda puzzled when I read articles about how illegal immigrants go to high school, how they file their income taxes, how they go to college and so on. My question is how is this possible? The school districts, the IRS they all act all hypocrite and ignore the fact that they're illegal and move on with their daily lives? Or how can the immigrants fool these authorities?
I mean even without denying illegals' right to education in the USA, the main fact is that they're not allowed to actually set foot on the soil of this great country. So then how could they get their education there legally?! Ain't that once again hypocrisy? Are the authorities really that blind and incompetent or are they just looking the other way? If they're looking the other way, then why? Why not just reform immigration? (Because politicians don't agree what that reform should look like, yeah I know that.)
Y'all know it just makes me kinda mad to see that I'm someone who'd respect the law, the traditions, the language, the values, the culture of the U.S., I'm willing to become an American if I ever get the chance. And yet I'm basically not allowed in there because I refuse to immigrate illegally. And all those who are willing to break the law (and quite often don't even speak English, etc.) are in theory not allowed but in practice are welcome in the USA.
