Why do conservatives worship the wealthy while hold contempt for the poor?

Everyone likes the idea of Benjamin Franklin's "rags to riches" Edit:Imagine if everyone was rich in this country, then no one would be, it's an endless cycle.

I'm not really conservative or liberal or w/e label people use, but I agree with the guy above, I can't stand people who are lazy and live off welfare, they should be able to find some kind of job after a while or at least eventually get back on their feet, maybe. But I really don't know, I'm ignorant when it comes to this kind of stuff.

But you do have professional sports players who make millions because of a entertainment for the masses, unnecessary as it may be, you could at least take that money and pay a doctor or someone else who is actually saving someone's life. But people enjoy entertainment more I guess.

Don't worship the rich -- Pelosi, the Clintons, Kennedy's, Feinstein, and many other liberals in Congress are rich. George Soros, Bill Gates, Steve Allen, just to name a few, are very wealthy and are liberal in their politics. Don't worship those guys either.
The rich are not blackmailing the country, big corporations and the government are walking hand-in-hand. Don't delude yourself.

I am a conservative and I worship only God and Jesus my Savior.
As for the rich, many have served my need for employment enabling me to raise 4 children. All my children have jobs supplied by the rich -- Doctors, Home Building suppliers, the State, as a Government worker, etc.
I really don't get your premise. Sounds like liberal indoctrination to me.

well you see, people who make millions a year actually WORKED to get that kind of job security. Success isnt something that you can just hand out. Success takes work, and in the end it makes it worth it.
