Why do conservatives worship the wealthy while hold contempt for the poor?

Conservatives follow the flawed belief that businesses create jobs and are thus entitled to all but atiny portion of the profit. As such they worship the rich as gods. Everyone who is not rich, must be lazy, ignorant, a drug addict, or lacking motivation. Do they not realize that with out labor there would be no company and no jobs? Conservatives refuse to believe that most poverty is caused by capitalism and corporations; first you have the unfair paying of wages; minimum wage while ONE person makes millions for doing nothing; laying off workers so they can increase their salaries to even more ridiculous levels; and even better firing every one else during bankruptcy yet NEVER taking pay cuts. Then you have situations like Enron, worldcom, tyco..etc.. in which corporate executives destroyed the lives of thousands of workers in the name of greed? How is it those workers fault that they are poor now??? And what about the people who loose their homes to pay for medical bills? Or the children who cant get to college, because they are not, black, gay, disabled, retarded, and from another country? What about the poor who CANT work? What makes the rich so much superior to the poor, that they deserved to be treated like kings? Taxing them will scare them away? Simple pass a law preventing businisess from leaving the country (amend the constitution),lack of motivation? (pass laws requiring quotas or send them to jail). The rich are black mailing the government and its time to stop it. what do you think?

America was founded upon FREEDOM not welfare. Coming to America was no guarantee of a good life. But, there should be freedom to make it on your own and not to have money taken from you for others.

Most poor people are poor by choice, when you make poor decisions in life you should live the consequences.

1. Graduate high school.

2. Don't drink or do drugs.

3. Don't get pregnant till you are married.

A liberal defines compassion by how many people they can give welfare to.

A Conservative defines compassion by how many people we can get off of welfare.

Nobody can tell you why because that isn't true. Where did you get an idea like that? Poverty exists in all economies around the globe. Capitalism does not cause poverty. What makes you think people earn millions for doing nothing? They make a lot of money because they know how to make more money for a company. Corporations are in business to make money. If they don't, they aren't in business anymore. If you want a better job, go get an education and shop around for a better job. If people just accept they life they have, then what is supposed to change it for them? Only they can change it. Capitalism offers many opportunities to people if they are motivated to improve their lives.

You can get a government loan. You can get a job where the company helps to pay for your education. I got a degree at 49 years of age because my employer paid for it. A high school diploma is not worthless.

Why do modern liberals think your for the little guy?
Without comparing yourselves to Republicans (your main cop out), why do you government interventionists (specifically) think for the little guy? You brought the corporate state into America, your regulations helped the self-interests of the ultra-wealthy, and you rose the prices of basic needs (HEALTH CARE) out of reach to anyone but the moderately wealthy. Eighty years ago, the complaint was that medical costs were too low, and that health insurance was too accessible. Then the government stepped in. Look at us now. So why do government interventionists think they are for the little guy and against the ultra wealthy when they have done the exact opposite?
