I understand most of your sources come from America (that's where the "Filipino acting like Americans come from") but your ignorance is so unbelievable that it's blinding the fact that you can't generalize a whole nation. With 96 million people. 96 MILLION citizens! And yet you add more to the common stereotype floating throughout America?
In case you didn't know, the government in the Philippines is corrupted which explains the lack of education of the people of the Philippines. It's not something you can blame us. Well, unless you are referring to the Filipinos that are too lazy to work, that's their problem. But I'm pretty sure that every nation has it's "lazy people".
And you're wrong about religion. I know a lot of Americans who are as religious as your idea of Filipinos, and I know a lot of Filipinos who aren't so dedicated to their religion (otherwise, they're Atheist. I can't change their belief).
Contrary to popular belief, Filipinos have weird Spanish names. Well, that's not all true... but a lot of Filipinos are descendants from Spanish-Filipino people. That's something we can't really change. That probably explains the last names. First names are usually Spanish. It's a popular thing. Not all of us have those names. Some Filipinos have American last names, or Malay. My first name is Kate. Now that doesn't sound too weird, does it?
It could take hours to list down my arguments but I think I'll stop.
But if you look at the glass half full, you can see that a lot of Filipinos are great musicians. And we care a lot for family and relationships rather than being so materialistic...well, some people might not. Just like I said before. I can't generalize a whole nation, even if I belong to it.
