Why do Republicans hate union teachers?

Why do Republicans hate union teachers?

I find it ironic that greedy Republicans want all industries to be "privatized", and they prefer to structure it like our prison system. Why did the Republicans rant the word "TERROR" countless times and lied about Bin Laden being alive for countless years after 9/11?

For example:

Prison labor is generally exempt from basic labor protections-like worker's compensation, labor and industries safeguards, benefits of any kind, or the ability to unionize-a situation that has captured the interest of private businesses eager to circumvent such irritants as expensive regulations. The greedy owners want to treat humans like the Chinese, while the bourgeois reap majority of the profits. Quite ironically, the Bush administration has pushed for the largely conservative, faith-based groups for traditional social service upon these people in prisons.

Conservatives hate learning. Conservatives are always the one complaining about homework and college being too hard.

Why do Republicans hate union teachers?

Postby byron92 » Fri Nov 18, 2011 8:32 am

The only problem I have with unions is that it is almost impossible to fire teachers. I support them, but they sometimes do things like this that makes me question whether their intentions are for the betterment of children or themselves. They would have my full support if some things were changed about how they bargain, in terms of teaching methods and protecting bad teachers, but not salaries. I think unions have the right to fight for a fair salary.

They have been taught, by the conservative media machine that anyone who works for the government is BAD. They are the problem. They caused our financial problems.

You simply just don't get it, do you?
The states are broke - they don't have the money to pay for the entitlements, retirements, health care and other benefits that the unions have garnered over the years.
Let alone that it's essentially impossible to fire an incompetent teacher or other public or private unionized worker.
Republicans don't "hate union teachers" - they are just logical enough to face the serious issues facing the economic concerns that these states face.

Added.....the bubble has burst for the "greedy baby boomers." There's simply no money left to meet their demands - it's really as simple as that. They aren't being asked to pan handle on our street corners, just accept pay and benefits more in line with the private sector.
For what it's worth, I don't feel I have a "lower of living standards."

That is just Kochian Republicans they are in favor of lower taxes and wages. You start with an ad campaign and send Republicans on the talk show circuit demonizing a random section of the middle class making a case for why they make too much money. Then you pass legislation stripping them of their income. Repeat.

The union leaders have made it very clear they are not interested in the students, they are only interested in power.

There are a lot of wonderful educators working in the public schools, but the public schools have no way to get rid of the educators who have forgotten than the only reason the schools exist is to benefit the students.

I despise unions because:

1) They destroy incentive. Those who have seniority know it is next to impossible to get fired. Those who are just starting out know that no matter how much of an effort they make, they still will not be rewarded for 'individual' effort so the system makes them ask "Why Bother"?

2) I don't believe in the collective. I am perfectly capable of negotiating my pay and benefits and if I can't get what I want, I will look elsewhere.

3) I resent having a cut of my income taken to enrich greedy, lazy union leaders.

4) I resent having a cut of my income taken to support a political party (democraps) that I despise as much as I do unions.

5) I resent being forced to be a member of a collective in order to be considered for a position.

In short, I resent no being able to be an individual who has the freedom to negotiate for himself. Why do you hate that opportunity?
