Why do white people hate immigrants coming into their countries?

1. Did you know if an American attempted to illegally emigrate to Mexico, they'd be arrested, put in jail and then thrown out of Mexico? Their immigration laws are that much tougher than ours (I'm an American)and they complain about our laws? Hypocrisy there. I do agree that the INS is broken and they need to overhaul the system and make it more streamlined so folks can come here and do so legally. At the same time, for our protection (as there are many people who want to do us harm) we need to secure the border. If you want to come to my country, I welcome you with open arms as long as you do so legally. If not, I have no problem with saying I want each and every single illegal deported.

2. If I am visiting another nation (China, France, etc), it might not be a bad idea that I learn the language of where I'm going. There are many people in those nations that don't (or won't) speak English. And that's their choice, their right. If you come to the United States, won't be a bad idea to learn English. I would make ESL (English as Second Language) classes as readily available as possible, but they should learn the language of the land they go to.

3. I am fine with people keeping some of their culture and ways when they go to another land. At the same time, some assimilation is not a bad idea. Culture in the United States, for example, is every bit as different as culture in, say, Saudi Arabia. If I emigrated to Saudi Arabia or even visited there, I would be required to abide by some of their culture even if it is completely different from mine.

4. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of moving to another country if you are going to complain about it? You came to find a better life, work, etc. If it was that big of an issue, shouldn't they have stayed home then. And I don't see anything wrong with people working to make a better living and not have it handed to them. My family came from Ireland to the United States, they weren't given any free handouts or favors. Four generations later, I think my family is doing quite well.

I don't hate immigration, but I have a major problem with people who come here illegally. The fact remains, they're breaking the law. If I go to another nation, I'm expected to abide by their laws and being American is not an excuse to not do so. I think it's only fair to expect them to do the same here. Also, they can find ways to embrace the American way of life and culture and keep part of their old identity. At least you have that choice here. Some nations you move to, you don't get that choice as you are forced to assimilate.

Why do white people hate immigrants coming into their countries?

1.Lose the war and lose the land. It has happened in every country in the world at some point in history.
2. Immigrants expect us to learn their language when they come here. Wrong they should speak the language of the country they want to live and work in. If I moved to Italy I would learn Italian. It makes life easier for all.
3. Do not care if they stick to their culture.
4. Wrong minorities get more benefits just for being a minority. Affirmative action comes to mind.
To sum up----I do not hate legal immigrants nor illegals. Hate is a waste of time. I do not want illegals who come here to leach off the system. They are not welcome. Come legally and welcome.
