Are All Debt Collectors Pains in The Rear?

Postby jaren12 » Mon Dec 12, 2011 12:24 pm

Sorry to hear the aggrevation quotient is off the top of the scale...and with good reason. Blinkety--blank red tape you can get strangled by it. Most beaurecrats we've dealt with never knows what the left and right hand are doing. Maybe they figure the harrassment will eventually force you to pay...just to get them out of your hair..off your back..or wherever they happen to land. One thing we did when involved in a matter that neeed 'proof' the papers had been sent. We simply sent a copy by registered mail...or a local delivery service..UPS or whatever you use. Make sure it is properly addressed to the "inept" party...then they have to sign for it and you proof it was sent and received. When she calls tell her to take a hike or you'll be seeking legal action against her for harrassment.' Veiled threats can do wonderful things. Also when she calls why don't you simply say...I am not here to handle your ineptitude..it has been sent...deal with it...good-bye! You could also get an unlisted number and only give it to people you want to hear from. Could be one way of cutting down on your aggrevation quotient! Hope it all works out soon pyewacket...you have more important things to be doing with your time and energy...the debt collectors are part of the old energy around your Mom. Fascinating that her 'old ties that bind' are still trying to bog you down. Sever those energy threads...time for her and her issues to move on to the other side instead of being Earthbound around you. Right?

I know you know my friend...and trust you will do it when the time feels right. It feels to me like she is having trouble letting go...could she maybe have something she needs you to know before she can move forward. That happened to one of my girl friends...we'll chat about it another time.

I have not had to deal with this personal(thankfully) But I have seen my good friend deal with this headache her father in law passed away in february of this year and they are still being hassled by bill collectors They have sent copies of the death certificates I dont know how many times and these people just dont seem to get it. I hope that no one makes me the executor of their estate because I would surely end up hurting someone LOL

Wow—so on top of dealing with the loss of your mom- you have to deal with bogus- crazy- debt collectors- Just doesn’t seem right- Especially with the hospital- Cant they look up the records and see she passed away there! Hello?? I’d threaten them all with your lawyer- Tell them when they call it’s harassment and the next time they call- you will contact your lawyer to get in touch with them- Even if you don’t have a lawyer- might make them back off- Luckily I haven’t had to deal with this- I wish you luck- and sorry to hear that your mom passed away.

You think the jerks at the hospital would just look up the records--they do have computers after all and if they typed in my mom's name would see she had died almost a year ago--and yes next time I do talk with them plan to say I'm contacting a lawyer--even if I don't

Almost. I bought some things from a liquidation place and an insurance company called me asking if I can help them find a certain company who makes certain items that this liquidated business used to sell. I didn't help them. I felt that if I said I could, they would go after me instead of this liquidated business. The business went down, so there is nothing they can do to get money of her, they supposed to go to the liquidator for that. I was just one of the buyers of her assets from liquidator I know nothing about how it went down and I didn't even buy the items they said this business used to sell.
