1: You get what you pay for
2: You had a warranty, which expired
3: If you chose not to take out cover for it, that's your problem
4: If you don't have contents insurance or choose not to use it, that's your problem.
5: You get what you pay for.
6: Mine has been working fine and I have had mine 3 years but I don't over use it nor use it on a regular basis.
You don't buy dirt cheap for a *basic* range and expect it to last when you use it day in day out.
Items are cheap, because it's cheaper to replace than repair. 12 months warranty is a standard so you lucked out.
If you want to get the item tested, that's up to you, but why spend £££ when the item only cost a small amount?
Items are cheap for a reason hun!
You can contact trading standards, but I wouldn't expect much, as the warranty is out and there is no guarantee after that period.
Put it another way, I don't buy a 1 KILO bag of 99p frozen grissle infested beef and expect Free range organic Sirloin Scotch Steak!
