Having all the commodities of life is not a good trade for freedom of mind.
There was no religious freedom in the Soviet Union. As much as I think religions are ridiculous, people should be free to believe whatever the heck they want without fear of death.
There was censorship of the press, to prevent "undermining the revolution"

You can't tell me a country with only one political party was a free country.
everything was done for the political party. ONLY the political partty was free to create trade unions or organize labor. where the heck is the freedom there??

NO freedom of political dissent. At least in the U.S. you don't have to fear death for being openly communist, or adhering to political views that are not popular. This was not true in the soviet Union.

Some of your criticism of the U.S. and other capitalist powers are right on point, but I don't like when people tell half-truths just to defend their side. Don't hide the TRUTH.
