I agree, although in regards to Stalin's oppression, that kind of oppression did not occur in Maoist China, although that is virtually the only thing here I can criticize.
Talking of China: China 1940- life expectancy, under 40. Now, 70. Literacy rate 1940: under half, now virtually everyone. As for Mao's famine, it's interesting how people seem to forget about the Great Depression, the Bengal famine and the Irish potato famine, all caused by capitalism. The Irish famine caused the death of a much larger proportion of the population too, and could easily have been prevented if the UK reacted differently.
