Not too long ago, I was slightly injured in a accident while driving a company vehicle in a no fault state. I filed an automobile claim, but the company said it was a workers compensation claim. They then denied the claim and said it was an automobile claim, since I was just temporarily working for the owner of the company, who was a friend of mine. I received a notice from the State of Virginia (where the company is headquartered) of my rights as someone who had been denied the claim.
Now I am a little worried about how this may effect my record. I don't think it should be allowed to be on my record if it was determined that I could not be considered an employee, because proof of employment was not available. I am wondering if I am entitled to a copy of anything that would show up on my record the same way I am entitled to a copy of my credit report.
