I didn't used to be such a defensive driver. I have had a $150 speeding ticket, 1 moderately bad accident- she rear-ended me-talking on the cell phone and driving is not good! People where I live don't pay attention to any of the rules, they tailgate, run red lights, do 90 mph in a 60, pass on double solid lines, you name it. I live on the outskirts of town in a rural farm community where the cops usually don't venture. People drink and drive out here-accidents all the time! Not me..I'm careful, no speeding, two hands on the wheel and I actually read the signs! I swear some people either can't read 'em or are too busy on their phones.I try to but it is difficult at times to stay in the regulated flow of things, I know everybody has there moments.
hi cloud, i also have the incident in my life that i'm in a hurry, and i really need to go cross the street,it's just that i am crossing the street beside the pedestrian lane. when some officer caught me,you know what its like being unfair coz i am beside the pedestrian lane, they even don't consider that it's just an inch away from the pedestrian lane.how angry i am that time,i even paid for that, one hundred pesos is still a big amount that time...Hello again..yes..so am i. Sometimes am a traffic-rules violator, depends on the occasions. When I am in hurry the worst thing I would always do instead of using overpass in crossing the street I would just cross the street wherever I feel like crossing. Overtaking not in proper way that sometimes I would almost crushed and hit bystanders. Well, that's not always the way I used to do because I am a law abiding citizen of the republic (in general)... Mobhomeir here...
hi cloud. just like you, i have violated some traffic rules like entering no entry roads, driving at the side walk, parking in no parking zones, over speeding, etc. but i try to always abide by the rules most of the times. i remember i was caught and apprehended for over loading. the penalty at that time was still law but the time you will spend in processing to claim back the license is the big question. aside from the seminar you should attend, as this is one requirement for apprehended drivers. There's always a temptation to. But I can't afford to be fined. The enforcement is very strict here. In a way that's good for everybody. It's also a good thing to abide to. If you know you have always abided traffic law and regulations you sleep well at night and have peace of mind. Thanks for the topic and have a good afternoon cloud!
