Do you think that this plan will work? (ordering something online behind my mother's back)?

Postby gofraidh34 » Thu Jul 19, 2012 11:01 am

Well, I really want these colored contacts from pinkyparadise.com
but my mom is convinced that they'll make me go blind or something (she's really paranoid about everything lol) so she won't let me order them.
(I already have prescription contacts, so I know how to take care of contacts and everything. I'd only wear them every once and a while for fun, not every day).
so I was thinking that I could go to the store and buy a visa gift card (you can shop online with those)
then I could buy the contacts with it, and send it to 8 (insert my street here). My address is 9 (insert my street here), so it could easily be a "typo."
nobody actually lives at 8 (insert my street here), there's a couple scheduled to move in in about 2 months, but for now it's empty.
so every couple days, I could check their mailbox, and eventually, the contacts would come!(:
(I know it's against the law to open other people's mailboxes lol, but nobody lives there and I don't really care)

Lol, not nice to sneak around your parents back, but hey, I did it when I was a kid too. At least you're not sneaking around buying drugs. O_O As much as I hate to say this, yes, you're plan sounds like it will definitely work....

Well yes you could, but I will warn you that you will probably regret it. Coloured contacts are really trashy, personally I wouldn't even wear them to a party. You could absolutely do it, but I think it's a bit of a waste of money.

First and foremost, no. Doing crap (especially stupid crap) behind your parents back is always a terrible (and stupid) idea.

Second of all, awkward colored/patterned contacts aren't the best for your eyes.

Third of all, I'm guessing by your flippant attitude towards and disregard for the laws and your mother, you're not really mature enough to have contacts, colored contacts, or pull this off.

Honestly, I think colored contacts are nice; they don't look trashy at all; at least not if you wear it with the right shade of eye makeup. It looks beautiful on many people. If it's something you like, then go with it and don't care what others think; their opinion of others appearances does not matter. I don't understand why some people have such a problem with these things. -_-

Anyways, ALL young people sneak behind their parents back one way or another. I'm sure those people who are commenting are either parents or people who like to preach. And they probably weren't goody-two-shoes when they were young. :P Go for it..
