Now days we have new laws that cover everything from people to property. I think we should go back to the basic laws and learn to enforce them. The biggest new ruling in my area is for the power plants not to pollute the air. The new excepted levels are not real and the plants are shutting down. They cannot afford to spend billions of dollars all at once. Why is the government pushing to hurry up and put everyone out of work. The air in my area (Pittsburgh, PA) has never been cleaner in my lifetime. They are setting the standards too high, too quick!
These companies are merely telling you that they can’t afford it.
I know what they are telling you:
‘The government is forcing us to make expensive modifications
and this will force us to raise your bill.’
I have news for you – it’s bullsh|t.
Power plants that are shutting down are only doing so because
their competitors are managing to take away their business.
You don’t believe me?
Well you still have power don’t you?
This means that somebody is profiting from selling you power.
Plain and simple.
They are making money despite the regulations and rules.

You should watch some old footage on Youtube documenting
factories from the 1910’s to the 1950’s. It as amazing how much
pollution came out of those places and how poor people’s health
was.
I wasn’t around back then but I can appreciate having a healthy
working environment.
Who would have though 50 years ago that government would
actually care about people’s health and that it would put the
squeeze on manufacturers to create a healthier environment?
You apparently don’t know how lucky you are.
Since 2008 Obama has added over 200000, that's two hundred thousand pages of new rules , laws , mandates and regulations to an already over bloated Federal Registry . When is enough enough ?
Unless you are two years old the air in pittsburgh is not cleaner than any time in your life.
THE BIGGEST IMPROVEMENT OF ALL CAME WHEN THE IRON AND STEEL INDUSTRIES COLLAPSED IN THE CITY in 1980s and it has gotten worse since then.
Yep.
My personal favorite is the government fining the businesses that aren't using some corn based additive to their fuel-the additive is not commercially available.
