Employer spying on weekend activity?

My friend's employer (manager & nosy co-worker) is spying on her by GPS they put on my friend's car and by having someone follow her. Even she told them that she doesn't want to be spyied on as time off work is to be for her and none of their business they continue to spy on her. What can she do on her on or legally? Are there any labor law protections for employees being harrased by co-workers on time off?

It depends on your friends country and state if she is in the U.S. She should go see a lawyer, and she needs to find another job in any event. What does this tell you about the company she is working for?

it is not legal to monitor without user permission.
