How do I find an address to serve a law suit too?

Postby abisha » Thu Aug 02, 2012 9:01 pm

I need to sue Verizon Fios for damages to my property. I will do this in small claims court in Maryland. I need the official company name (is it Verizon or Verizon Fios) and an address to serve the papers to. Maryland suggests looking at State Department of Assessments and Taxation website, but I can't find anywhere on that site to find corporation names or addresses. Can anyone offer advice? Lastly, but less important, I would also like to include the contractors that verizon uses to bury their fiber lines since they caused the damage, but I can't find out who they are and Verizon won't tell me.

Have you made any effort to resolve the problem with the company first or is your idea of dealing with it fire, ready, aim?

Call your local public library. They have a book with all of that information in it. Tell them what you need.
