How to deal with a crazy/creepy Father-in-Law?

Postby melville » Sat Jul 28, 2012 12:01 pm

Now I never really liked this man, not from the second I met him, but I only saw him whenever he wanted to borrow money from us or at family gatherings, so I could deal with it. My babysitter had to have surgery and we were in a bind, so my husband asked his dad to come watch the kids while we worked. He has no job, no money, no home and my Mother-in-Law can't stand him either.I wasn't happy about it, but reluctantly agreed because I figured it would make my husband happy to actually know where the bum was for once. Let's just say that now my dislike has turned to hatred. The following is a list of issues I am having.
1- The first day he was here, I returned home from work to find my house reorganized. I am very OCD with my house and like things where I put them and made that clear, which didn't stop him at all.
2- He borrowed our car and (with my children in it) parked on a SIDEWALK! I went ballistic and said straight out that he would never drive our car or any car with my children in it again.
3- Everything I do, it's like it's not good enough and he actually has the balls to ask me why i'm doing things the way I am, yet this moron hangs his clothes all over my house to dry them!
4- NO female that I know will step foot in my house anymore as he is creepy and says very innapropriate things. All of which are married! He rubbed my sisters leg, and then tried to poke her ***, also she is married. He exposed his nipples to my nieces and said "I see you!" They also no longer want to be at my house. He is also that way to me, he asked me if I wanted a foot rub and then today I made a comment about how big my puppy has gotten and he said yeah, all the girls say that. Oh, i'm just playing.
-he left my children 2 and 3 in a bathtub by themselves while he went out to smoke a cigarette.
-when he is told not to do something, he waits til we are at work and does it anyway.
-he told my 11 year old autistic cousin that his name was the "N" word. and he said it, not knowing that it's a bad word, I just about hit the man.

My husband has laid into him, I have, my brother in law has and he still does the same crap. I am stuck with this creep for one more week and then I hope I never see him again! But any advice on how to survive that week? lol
Thanks in advance

Wow, I hate him already. There's really nothing you can do. I mean I guess you could always wait for him to do something illegal and then turn him in. But you're just gonna have to deal with it for one more week.

Do you have a shotgun? :P

Well he did rub your sister's leg and poked her butt, could you try and get your sister to file a sexual harassment complaint? The police probably won't do much, but perhaps if this ***hole is confronted by the police, even if it is only a warning, it might make him back off.

Idk though. Sorry to here about your situation.

Could hire someone to beat the crap outta him, dunno who you would call for that though, lol
