I have a few questions about to catch a predator show?

Postby naseem » Tue Jul 31, 2012 8:01 pm

SO i have a few discussion and questions, ok so lets say im on a chat room and im 17 y/o and im pretending im 28 ok now im sure people do it so don't say people won't or don't do that now they meet up with this "young girl" then what?? then its legal right! ok but the "username" is legally owned by a man in the law enforcement thats well over 18 years old ok, now the law enforcement/username holder is now committing a crime and talking to a underage, now just because there intentions are to catch criminals doesn't mean that they can't committ a crime themselves, which brings me to another question now i was reading a bunch of forums about an issue like this saying that you are not legally aloud to to talk minors about sex or something of that nature now then doesnt that make every schools health class an illegal class or every parent that talks to there kids about sex that means that they are breaking the law, now it's a crime they are committing by there intentions am i right thats what they are getting charged for intent. Now everyone has cruel or bad intentions now we may not act on these intentions, now humans have guilt and fear, dont you think that some of these people on the show might not actually follow through with it when it comes down to it they might think before they actually act, i think that it would make for a better show and see how far they'll go with there "intentions" because i bet some of them won't follow through with it because they know there about to break the law and and there guilt and fear kick in and say ahh you know what maybe i won't do this it's not right i know that they are already at the house but that doesn't mean they will follow through with there intentions, now crime in the dictionary has a few different meanings and one of the meanings is a foolish, senseless, or shameful act, every single person in the world has done this ok so what they are being charged for is intentions but everyone has intentions some more serious then others hense why they are there, but this show isn't doing justice because everyone has intentions, these people aren't breaking any laws except sending nude pics or talking sexual to minors now that should be the only things they are charged for not intentions cause they never let them follow through with them so therefore the crime doesn't even stick. I am just asking for some more clarity on this cause the show is a good show don't get me wrong but is also faulty.

I have a few questions about to catch a predator show?

I get what ur saying but its legal for law enforcement to pose as a minor in order to catch predators, its not a crime for them to talk to the minors unless its in a sexual way (which most do on those sites) but obviously they can't arrest them unless they actually come to the house. Its just like when they catch drug dealers they set it up and pose as a buyer and then they arrest them, its the same thing. I don't think the police or any type of government employed law enforcement should be able to do that, the only reason they catch them is by being hypocritical. They do the same thing they are trying to stop (in the process of catching them commiting the crime). Law enforcement is getting dirtier and more sketchy every day. And yes everyone does something bad but u gotta understand that they can't just go to minors houses with the intent to commit sexual acts no matter if they follow through with it or not. If you live in the U.S. you are expected to follow the laws no matter what. Besides that they need to think before they even talk to minors like that ... there is plenty of women out there their own age.
