I'm 16 Yrs Old, Residing In Nc And I Wish To Appointments My Sweetheart In Fl, He's 19. Authorized Era But Could It Be Illegal To Go To?

Postby larenzo » Mon Dec 23, 2013 9:11 pm

I met him irl and we been heading out for almost annually of the January 4th. He is prepared to pay 300 for your air-plane ticket whilst I will spend 200. I asked my father if I could get but he explained that it had been illegitimate. In my own understanding, if I get each my parents' agreement, it would not be unlawful appropriate?Or is it? because Iam nearly 17 My partner is 19-so itis proper age. He is coping with his buddy, 21 and his partner. Can anybody supply me any web site that may possibly help me out? Notify me the name of regulation?

CAK stated: 2 You are speaking about the legal age of consent, that will be 16. So far as journey - parental permission would be necessary by you, which you do not have. Additionally, age consent is most likely exclusive in California and it is a state-by-state regulation. It could not be 16, there. Being a mother, there is no way I would ever let this come about. Iam not most likely to check out a regulation to help you on this - I can not. Never as a mother. Please think about that which you are performing. Decelerate and be 16! 61 weeks previously

I Am 16 Years Old, Living In Nc And I Want To Visits My Boyfriend In Fl, He Is 19. Legal Age But Is It Illegal To Visit?

You are referring to the legal age of consent, which is 16. As far as travel - you would need to have parental permission, which you never have. Also, the age of consent is far more than likely distinct in Florida and it really is a state-by-state law. It may not be 16, there. As a mom, there is no way I'd ever let this happen. I am not going to search for a law to support you out on this - I cannot. Not as a mom. Please feel about what you are performing. Slow down and be 16!

I know you must have strong feelings for this person. But at your age it is not wise to travel alone to another state. If your boyfriend has the money for you to visit why doesn't he just visit you where you will be in a safe environment? If your parents already know about him then I can't see them having a problem with a visit. As far as the law goes. It is not illegal for you to visit with parents permission. It would be illegal if he coaxed you there for a visit and you didn't have the blessing of your parents. Which you don't. If he wants to see you bad enough he'll make the trip. If not there is othere fishes in the sea.

If any sex is involved, you are "jail bait" and he is a criminal. And if he pays to have you cross state lines, it's double penalty("transportation of minors across state lines for immoral purposes.") "Almost 17" means nothing except how much you need to wait, in this case, until you ARE 18.    Where are your parents in this? Criminy, they should be the first ones saying absolutely not.

Nowadays, one must ask the obvious question: what do you mean by "boyfriend"? If any sex is involved, you are "jail bait" and he is a criminal. And if he pays to have you cross state lines, it's double penalty("transportation of minors across state lines for immoral purposes.") "Almost 17" means nothing except how much you need to wait, in this case, until you ARE 18.    Where are your parents in this? tccat said: 3 Your dad is right on some of it, he is being protective, your underage, the law says that your boyfriend is over 18 and for him to be with you as long as there is no sex, and with your parents consent is legal. Dating is never illegal in any state, but sex(which is part of way too many "dates") is if it is with a minor,(which is 17 or younger) is illegal, and is considered a rape, as the person is not legally old enough to consent to sex. 61 months ago

It also quotes the following:   Where it says ?no current law? assume that the legal age of consent is the same as for heterosexuals, but know that it may change. Where it says ?Illegal? this means the act is illegal regardless of your age. Where two ages appear the following abbreviations mean:(pc) = parental consent (npc) = without parental consent. All listed ages are based on legislation NOT court decisions and are current as of July 2000/  Subject to change. There is also more iinformation on the definitions to Age of Consent, Age of Consent Explained and an FAQ on the Legal Age of Consent.  There is also a link where you can see questions and responses on the issue.   More Teen Life Q & A > Past Questions   New posts to the Teen Advice forums:   http://forums.about.com/dir-app/acx/ACDispatch.aspx?action=message&webtag=ab-teenadvice&msg=22018   http://forums.about.com/dir-app/acx/ACDispatch.aspx?action=message&webtag=ab-teenadvice&msg=22041   http://forums.about.com/dir-app/acx/ACDispatch.aspx?action=message&webtag=ab-teenadvice&msg=22040   All of these links are included on the aforementioned site at the top.
