I live in the southern USA and in my city, there's a murder every week, voilence is non-stop, and there's so many drug problems and just a general lack of decency.
However, the pastor at my church said last Sunday that "gays being able to be married is the biggest problem our city faces" and always lashes out against stuff like gay marriage, abortion, and teaching contraception in schools saying that it's the worst thing happening to our city. After the service, I asked him why he was focusing on Gay Marriage when murders were so rampant & obviously a bigger problem. All he said was "we already have laws against that" and turned his back to me.
My aunt also agrees with the pastor that gay marriage is the worst problem facing us, and not violence, even though her fiance was killed by gunshot many years ago and she had been carjacked several times. What do you think is a bigger problem?
