Our community of citizens is opposed to walmart taking over and destroying small business. We are inspired by Tom Morello and other political educators like AFL-CIO that also stand for working families in the Los Angeles Area.

Our strategy is to do both: First, challenge the existing laws for trucks, parking, noise, after hours, lights, etc. then after the last appeal limit Big Box stores to 75,000 sq ft in size. Is this a good plan?

Walmart is a wage slave chinese retail outlet...good luck....

Min wage, no health care and their goal is to close down local stores...fact

The owners hold wealth equal to 30% of America and after they get rid of all the other stores people are forced to work for them at min wage part time so they do not have to pay Health Ins....

Notice how the products do not even last?

Locals should fight hard.........do not shop at Walmart and never will

I see you recently took a course in ignorance 101. Walmart employs about 1,300.000 people in the US. Granted they don't make a great deal of money but it's work. So you want to shut them down, adding that many more to the unemployment rolls. Great thinking there, no wonder California is bankrupt, in more ways than one.
And in answer to some of the geniuses on here, Walmart sells the exact same Chinese stuff as every other large retail store in the US.

Once again a prime example of liberals trying to regulate businesses and jobs out of existence. The above is the mentality that has gotten us into the recession we are in.

Liberalism kills jobs.

When Obamacare sucks away discretionary income, where are people supposed to shop? Small retail firms are more costly-- weighed down by useless regulations.

The plan sucks, but it would be dream for Obama.

If your community is dumb enough to shop at WalMart, then they deserve to lose their jobs to the Chinese.

If people want to destroy themselves, I say let 'em.

Wait, I thought liberal retards like free trade and sending all our jobs to China and Mexico.

I see. You like it until it's taking jobs in YOUR community. Am I right?

How about you build your retail store the way you want to, and we let Wal-mart build its retail store the way it wants to.

It's that type of regulation that stifles the economy.
