Is It Legal For Obgyn To Advance Bill Coinsurance Amount That Is Payable After Delivery As Early As In The 2nd Trimester

My wife have been asked to pay for her coinsurance amount for her delivery during her 5th month itself.When we refused to make this payment in advance the doctor refuses to provide any further treatment/service until we pay the doctor the coinsurance amount in ADVANCE. Is this legal in California or just an unfair billing practice forcing to milk money as early as possible?

He must be low in money...you can change doctors! Maybe they want to make interest on it. Find another doctor if you can. Shasha 30 months ago
