Is it wrong to put surveillance cameras in your childrens rooms?

I really want to complete my system, right now I have my outside perimeter covered, the main entryway and living room under watch, the garage is done also. I REALLY like the fact I can survey my entire property from the comfort of my desk, but unless I can put up cameras in my kids rooms I feel there is a flaw in my system. They shouldnt be doing anything in their anyway, not sure what the problem would be, but my wife claims it would completely be uncalled for. Its not like I will be putting them in the bathrooms or anything, that would be sick, just in their rooms so I can monitor their safety and see whats going on when I am not home is all.

Nothing personal but if you do have black kids, I hope they take after you and not your wife. So you might need to put those cameras in their rooms
