Former Narcotics Agent: It's Time To Call Off The War On Drugs, what do you think?

Russ Jones, who has spent more than 30 years fighting the War On Drugs, has something to say about his life's work: it is a complete failure that should be ended.

"The U.S. over the last four decades has spent $1 trillion of our tax dollars, made 38 million nonviolent drug arrests and quadrupled our prison population," Jones said, reports columnist Tom Barnidge of the Contra Costa Times. "And the rate of addiction today, 1.3 ...

Should Marijuana possession and use be decriminalized on the Federal level?

I currently live in the state of New Jersey, a few miles from the state of New York. If an 18 year old kid gets caught with the possession of Marijuana on his person, he is tried as a lawbreaker. Then that kid has a black mark on him for the rest of his life. Meanwhile, a kid in New York does not get the same black mark placed upon him. Marijuana possession is the ...

Did you breathe a sigh of relief after the dangerous Willie Nelson was busted for marijuana possession?

What is wrong with the United States? Did they not learn anything from alcohol prohibition in the 1930s?

It would seem they either need to stop consuming illegal drugs (which doesn't appear like it will ever happen considering drugs have been around thousands of years) or they need to do a comprehensive overhaul of their drug laws (so they can stop wasting man power, time and resources busting people like Willie Nelson).

Should all the EU countries vote the same laws as the Dutch, regarding the soft drugs, and allow coffee shops?

so that the drug trafficants can't deal weed anymore, and so that everything can be regulated and under control of the government?
And also in order to fight crime and violence? ( especially in certain countries such as France, UK and Spain, where there are a lot of thugs in urban areas).

What's your opinion?

Looking for people that know Nevada drug laws or have been charged themselves.?

Hi, my roommate just got caught up in a drug charge with his friend in Las Vegas, Nevada. They apparently had 7 lbs of marijuana in their luggage and got arrested. It's his first offense and they are charging him with intent to sell. I did some research for them and did find out a bit about Nevada laws. According to one site, they could get probation or a suspended sentence... or up to 4 ...
