Citizens Arrest in Alabama. What are the laws?

In Alabama, what are the requirements to make a citizens arrest? Does it have to be a felony? Can it be a misdemeanor? If it is drug related do I take evidence to the police as well? From my understanding, if you are tested roadside in Australia for drugs and the result comes up positive (for argument's sake, let's say the driver took marijuana a week before the test).
HOWEVER - if the drug level records at LESS THAN 50ng/ml - then that is ok???
Why can't the police charge for drug use - it is still in their system, even at a very low level - does this not prove that ...

Would legalizing drugs result in a dramatic deduction in crime?

CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts (CNN) -- Over the past two years, drug violence in Mexico has become a fixture of the daily news. Some of this violence pits drug cartels against one another; some involves confrontations between law enforcement and traffickers.

Recent estimates suggest thousands have lost their lives in this "war on drugs."

The U.S. and Mexican responses to this violence have been predictable: more troops and police, greater border controls and expanded enforcement of every ...

Why do people feel the need to control others?

I have noticed that it is a growing trend in western culture for people to create "moral" laws. This isn't always legislation against certain behaviors, but sin taxes. How can anyone feel that they are doing the right thing by denying people the freedom to do with their bodies what they choose? Massachusetts is increasing taxes on soda and candy, obviously to increase revenue, but they are claiming that it is to make the people ...

Ilinois drug laws.. First time offense?
What is the possibility of a 48 year old woman being charged with possession of meth <5 grams (class 3 felony) and possession of hypo/needles 1st (class A misdemeanor) being let out on bail and only receiving probation? I know that Illinois passed a new law about drugs, but what I read from it is that it applies to people previously charged. She has no other charges in this ...

A Question for College Town Cops?

It seems that the police write out hundreds of underage drinking tickets, and bust several parties a week, but when a crime such as assault, battery, burglary, or vandalism occurs the police aren't as aggressive about catching the perpetrator. Why is it that all the cops seem to care about is busting kids drinking underage and people smoking weed. I'm not saying these laws should go unenforced but I think damage and theft of peoples ...

Why wont the DEA admit that it is the drug laws that cause drug crimes/Murders?

It is no secret that the DEA would lose $Billions in Fed funding if drugs were made legal, what many are not aware of is that the DEA /Law enforcement would also lose $billions in cash, homes cars etc that are ceased from drug dealers. All that Untraceable cash is used to fund the DEA. Another well kept secret is the For Profit Prison system we have in the USA. Strict drug laws keep the prisons ...
