Does my employer have to pay for meals if I am sent off site?

I live in Nevada and my employer is making us go to a meeting that is 30 miles away from my work location. They want us to provide our own lunch. I thought they had to pay for your lunch if they make you work at a different work location than normal. Anyone out there know the Labor law for this? I couldnt find anything.

Is it illegal for my job to keep me at work if I'm really sick?

I live in IL, and I've had a horrible cold for the last week. I've tried calling in just to rest and get in to see the doctor but my job refuses to let me "call-off". They make me come in and work anyway. And if I'm already at work and want to leave because I feel like I may pass out or vomit at work, they still refuse to let me leave. Is this ...

Michigan labor laws for minors?

I turn 18 at the beginning of my senior year. Do the labor laws for minors still apply because I am still in school, or because I'll be 18 will these rules no longer apply?

Have a question about labor laws in NC?

So I work 40 hours a week. I scheduled a Monday off and got PTO. On Tuesday my boss asks me to work overtime. I agree and put in 5 hours of OT.

So with PTO and OT I worked a total of 45 hours.

The rule says that I will not get paid OT unless a person works actually works over 40 hours in a week.

So I understand I should not get paid ...

Would it make economic sense to move from USA to China?

I know the USA is a great country, but from a money-making perspective.

It looks like China is what USA used to be like when the US economy was booming and we had thriving industries in America, which are now gone forever.

1) China manufactures almost everything.

2) China has high-speed rail systems and public works.

3) Chinese services in America are very price-competitive. (e.g. Chinatown Buslines operates busses by the hour Washington, DC to ...

Labor law about federal and or state pay (in an llc. based co.)?

I live in Wisconsin (I know I know). Does anyone know if there is a Federal or Wisconsin State Law that restricts one's work pay by a certain percentage (I thought that a co was restricted to reducing your pay by around 20%--or something like that).

Please site the law or the source.
