Your supporting sentence makes no sense. People who are born in the US are US citizens, not immigrants. Do you know what the word, immigrant, means? An immigrant is someone who emigrated from elsewhere.

People who are born in a country aren't subject to its immigration laws.

Immigration laws apply to immigrants - that's why they're called IMMIGRATION Laws.

Too strict not sure about that but they need to be reworked. A lot of people make the argument that a more laborers should be allowed to enter.

Others say that more skilled labor should be allowed over to fill positions where their aren't enough educated US Citizens to fill it.

No. We have the most lenient and open immigration policy for a country that doesn't participate in the state multiculturalism fad. (Which will pretty much end urban European culture).

I would like to adopt Mexico's immigration policy for a while.

And, whatever it is that you were trying to imply in the details, makes no sense.

Our immigration laws are fine.The problem is lack of enforcement and a porous border.
