Timeshare Dispute- Westgate Resorts Scam Strikes Again- Robert Paisola Responds

We are UK citizens,on holiday in Florida we were wrongly informed and feel we were pressurized into buying into a timeshare with westgate resorts. The deal was attractive, and we were told repeatively this would be our only opportunity and we could cancel the agreement at any time.  Upon returning home we checked the details of the timeshare which, were no where near as attractive as what we had been sold and included additional cost's we had no knowledge of we called westgate to cancel the agreement, We cant cancel despite being told we could at any time. We don't want the time share and are struggling to afford it.  We feel we were mis sold the timeshare,Westgate have a copy of our passport's and UK addresses'. What are our options? What would the repercussion's be if we were to stop paying? We have no intention of ever living in the state's, but would this affect us going on holiday there in the future?

First of all, this is a contract that was executed in the USA and you are in Europe.

If I were a collection agent or collection attorney, I would drop the issue immediately, as the logistics are difficult enough let alone the fact that you live in Europe.

If I were you, I would file a formal complaint with the state that you bought the Westgate Timeshare(google the state name and division of consumer protection) and I would go to www.RipoffReport.com and file your story in detail there.

Based on what you are saying, I would not pay them one dime.
