I got a ticket the other day for a stop sign violation (going maybe 2 mph, and not stopping entirely to 0 mph). I probably won't go to court since it's hard to win these judgement calls against a cop.
Can I go to traffic school for this violation so that I do not get points added to my insurance? The rules for my county state that to be eligible for traffic school "You must not have been cited while driving with a Class A, Class B or Commercial Class C driver's license or while driving a commercial motor vehicle." (http://www.sanmateocourt.org/court_divisions/traffic/traffic_school.php) This is confusing. Does this mean I do not qualify since I got the ticket while driving with a class C license (commercial)? But this seems to list looks like it includes all classes of licenses. Does this mean I can only go to traffic school if I get a non-driving infraction, like a parking ticket?
