No. But the Berlin Wall was an example of what certain right wing extremists and people who do not understand borders want to have. But history shows it was a failure, since 15 million Germans illegally emigrated despite the fence.

DHS does not favor fences, except to move traffic from high population density areas to lower ones, where EWIs (entered without inspection) are more easily detected. They need more agents and technology to be able to concentrate on preventing smuggling. They do not need help to catch potential maids and landscapers though.

In what way and how? The iron curtain was the name given of the area between western and eastern europe and how they did not want it (it being communism which was predominately in eastern europe) to spread

No, because the emphasis in Soviet times was to KEEP the people IN, not keeping others out. Soviet authorities wanted to keep their best and brightest and not lose them to the West.

No, because the emphasis in Soviet times was to KEEP the people IN, not keeping others out. Soviet authorities wanted to keep their best and brightest and not lose them to the West.
The purpose of the Iron Curtain was to keep people in, not keep outsiders from coming in.
Big difference if you paid attention when learning about the cold war and Communism.

No - there is a big difference between forcing people to stay in and trying to keep them out.
