I disagree on all counts. Too expensive? To whom? To you? Too intrusive? To whom, the ones finally getting much deserved relief? To you? Republicans used to say Medicare was too 'intrusive' too, as I recall. They fought it tooth and nail, calling it Socialism. They used to say Social Security was bad for the country, too intrusive. Again we had to put up with their tantrums. Are you looking forward to Social Security at all? Sure a lot of people are these days. How is this plan bad for the country? That kind of blanket statement carries zero weight. Bad for your own belief system perhaps. Others find humanitarian pursuits worthwhile. Republicans are all a dazzle about wealth and power....theirs. They seem to think their rich buddies are the ones who need the extra cash, forcing Obama to add that into a bill that would help this country. They don't care about helping this country if its gonna cost THEM a few bucks, or shift them away from what they want most....power. Let every man fend for himself! The Republicans have other priorities and no amount of altruistic glossing over their real interests will conceal that fact. And by the way, how is it the Republicans couldn't get more help to people in eight years? It wasn't enough of a priority. No, I don't buy your excuses and biased information. It doesn't add up, especially for the ones who are finally getting some relief. Skylight 35 months ago
