What Do You Think The Future Of Obamacare Is If The Florida Federal Judge Says It Is Unconstitutionl?

"The costs will skyrocket(they already are skyrocketing) if this bill isn't changed. "I do not agree. How could the future with people covered and getting care in a physician's office be more expensive that the current system where people go to the emergency room? That does not make sense. People get treatment now. The only change is that with the law it will be LESS expensive. Even total expenses will go down. We will have to wait to see who is right. But I expect to be correct on this issue.   Gary4books 35 months ago

If the ruling is upheld at the Supreme Court, then it IS Unconstitutional and void. Whether the President stops implementing the law or chooses to ignore the law and rule by dictate instead is to be determined. He's already choosing to ignore the ruling requiring its implementation to be halted(such as stopping all construction at physician owned hospitals that went into effect 1/1/2011).   TamaraW 35 months ago

Oh, and by the way, I think its interesting how the people that don't need this assistance don't find it 'intrusive' at all. Its the ones who have what they need already that do. Who are they to tell someone in need that assistance would be too intrusive for them? What a bunch of crap.   Skylight 35 months ago

>The costs will skyrocket(they already are skyrocketing) if this bill isn't changed. If the costs skyrocket, then the coverage will also have to skyrocket - because Obamacare also requires that health insurers pay out a specific percentage of their gross take to claims.   TheLightWorks 35 months ago

I disagree on all counts. Too expensive? To whom? To you? Too intrusive? To whom, the ones finally getting much deserved relief? To you? Republicans used to say Medicare was too 'intrusive' too, as I recall. They fought it tooth and nail, calling it Socialism. They used to say Social Security was bad for the country, too intrusive. Again we had to put up with their tantrums. Are you looking forward to Social Security at all? Sure a lot of people are these days. How is this plan bad for the country? That kind of blanket statement carries zero weight. Bad for your own belief system perhaps. Others find humanitarian pursuits worthwhile. Republicans are all a dazzle about wealth and power....theirs. They seem to think their rich buddies are the ones who need the extra cash, forcing Obama to add that into a bill that would help this country. They don't care about helping this country if its gonna cost THEM a few bucks, or shift them away from what they want most....power. Let every man fend for himself! The Republicans have other priorities and no amount of altruistic glossing over their real interests will conceal that fact. And by the way, how is it the Republicans couldn't get more help to people in eight years? It wasn't enough of a priority. No, I don't buy your excuses and biased information. It doesn't add up, especially for the ones who are finally getting some relief.   Skylight 35 months ago

"The Republicans had ideas to take care of those things but they were shut out of the negotiations by the dems."They were invited and chose to not participate. That is well documented.   Gary4books 35 months ago

> Actually teabagger is used regularly in here. Not anymore. Where have you been? The current name is TP'er. I have not seen anyone use the term teabagger for months. Except for you and Rock, that is.> We will see how long it is before someone stoops to using it again. Well, it would seem that you are literally begging someone to use it, with your "intelligent questions". But it won't be me. In case you haven't noticed, the political questions being asked lately are actually questions that invite adult discussions, and I have not seen any insulting lately.Except for some loony that showed up yesterday and is already banned for snark fest questions. You might want to peruse the questions under the topic political and see what the adults are talking about, here - and more importantly, how they discuss things.Just a thought.   TurboB 35 months ago

I think it'll make him and the Democrats look bad for having tried that much for something that turned out to be D.O.A. But they'll get over it.   danielpauldavis 35 months ago
