What Medical Advice Do You Remember Being Marketed As "fact" That Ended Up To Be Fiction?

What Medical Advice Do You Remember Being Marketed As "fact" That Ended Up To Be Fiction?

Lately, I was provided an adverse rating(presently beneath appeal) for arguing with group-consider about whether or not affordable use of soy is harmful-- seehttp://askville.amazon.com/cotton-soy-milk-cancer-beverage-control/DiscussionBoard.do?requestId=8587088&showGeneralOptions=accurate&sortOrder=ascending&page=1This reminds me of when everybody was convinced that the clear answer to obesity was a lowfat, high-carb diet plan. Performs out that guidance was incorrect for most of us. Recall when Crisco and old-fashion oleo(margarine) had been recommended as "heath meals?" All of us know because they were complete of pro-inflamatory trans-fats and barely balanced. What varieties of "medical truth" could you consider about that have right now become "medical fiction?" What present medical suggestions(as translated by the press) do you feel might later be confirmed problematic?

I can't say it turned out to ALWAYS not be the case, but I remember learning that the generic drugs are identical to the name brands and THAT is not always the case. It seems each day we are finding patients don't react or don't react the same way to the generic form of more and more drugs.
