After filing chapter 13 bankruptcy,can my settlement be taken away?

my aunt filed chapter 13 not long ago,since then her mother in law passed away and they are to receive money from her death,so can it be taken away?

If she has a confirmed plan and is making payments, all she had to do is continue making the payments and she will be fine. Chapter 13 plans can't require someone else to die and leave stuff to the debtor.
