Are these the kind of working conditions the free traders wish for U.S. workers?

No. That is just a side benefit to their chasing companies out of the US. While the left wing rants all the time about the horrible things they claim the right want, their policies are creating the conditions you describe.

What US workers competing do you know of?
Realistically what US worker is vying for a visa to join that particular company based in China?

Aside from any moral implications the bottom line is that free trade causes trade deficits to the tune of about half a trillion dollars a year. It's been a giant bloodsucker attached to the US economy since 1976.

Most likely, the computer you used to post this question was produced overseas,
maybe under similar work conditions.

Why don't you show your humanity and throw it out the window?

PS; Now don't be rash, but take your time and think about it.
The home-made replacement might cost you four or five times as much...:-)
