Can I Get My Son Back

Postby Whitmore » Fri Mar 14, 2014 4:51 pm

My problem requires ownership legislation for Their State of: Tennessee
I went through a really nasty divorce/custody battle. To create a long story short Our Ex created things tough on me and our child and carefully switched our child against me(PAS). I never filed police reports for just two reasons. 1.His new spouse includes a brother who's a lieutenant in the police office within our town and he(the brother) had previously lied and had my boyfriend (now husband) tossed in prison therefore I thought they'd be no aid anyway. And 2. I did not want our boy to consider I was being mean to Dad hence showing their position which was that I was the bad person and I was the main one causing problems(Silly huh?)
They used our son to spy on me.They named the college where our son attended and so-called child abuse on my part. I did not misuse our boy so they really unearthed that the accusations were unfounded and the college nurse recorded it and signed a duplicate of the event for me personally.
There Is A ton more but suffice to say that I was in and out of court all the time. We invested $11,000 on legal costs in 12 months. I was shattered and damaged. He then desired to fight for custody again. they certainly were likely to have our boy state to god-knows what in court. I did not need our son subjected to that so after much soul-searching I, at their insistence, and to get our son from the center, signed away my adult rights.I threw in the towel. Your boy was 11 in the time.
Now after 6 years with no contact I instantly find out on the web no less that our sweet loving son has been in juvie because he was 14! FELONY CHARGES. Preventable when they had just monitored the kids better.
Our problem now is can I get our son back? Will there be something I will do to change this case reestablish my privileges?

What do you mean when you say that you signed away your rights?
Can there be a court order officially terminating your parental rights?
When there is, officially, you no further have a boy and you'd have difficulty having your privileges reinstated after 6 years.
If there is not a court order terimanating your rights, is there a court order where ex was handed full custody, along with you keeping your parental rights?
If that's the case, was visitation coated for the reason that order?

Yes there's a court order ending my privileges. Yes I understand the laws of this connection. Taking that's difficult but I suppose required. Our center will not hear.
He is 17 now. May he choose for herself (lives in Atlanta) if he does or doesn't need me to go to him in prison. He's in big-boy jail at this time (not imprisonment however). He's being located in a county jail for another smaller county expecting trial.

try calling the prison to determine exactly what the needs are for visitation.

I experienced an extremely unpleasant divorce/custody fight. To create a long story short Our Ex created things tough on me and our kid and carefully switched our kid against me(PAS). I never filed police reports for just two reasons. 1.His new spouse has a sibling who's a lieutenant in the police division within our town and he(the buddy) had previously lied and had my sweetheart (now husband) tossed in prison and so I thought they'd be no aid anyway. And 2. I did not want our boy to consider I had been being mean to Dad hence showing their stage that was that I had been the poor person and that I was the main one creating issues(Silly huh?)
They used our boy to spy on me.They named the college where our child joined and so-called child-abuse on my part. I did not misuse our boy so that they discovered that the accusations were unfounded and also the college nurse recorded it and closed a duplicate of the event for me personally.

I did not want our boy subjected to that so after much soul-searching I, at their insistence, and also to consider our boy from the center, closed away my adult rights.I quit.
