How is some CEO in an office doing more work than his workers?

Postby andor25 » Tue Jul 31, 2012 3:07 am

Some suit is not doing more work than the millions of working class and engineers and scientists working at the company.

Is he doing 3000 times harder work, to deserve 3000 times the compensation?

US Corporate salaries are too high, but your premise that they don't work hard is clearly coming from someone who has never been a manager or higher. Lower level employees have less responsibility and do less for the overall success of a company.

They may do a lot of the one thing they do, but it is nonetheless a small part of the total of the success.

He is doing work that very few are capable of doing and even fewer are willing to do if they are capable. Its the law of supply and demand. Or it would be if the government got out of the business of propping up failing companies.

It's obviously beyond your comprehension to accept the fact that some people make their living based on what they know, what they've learned and the decisions they make. Oh, and biggie size my fries for me, willya? Thanks.

Actually, CEOs "work" 24x7 even when they are on the golf course.

Libs say Obama is working when he is on the golf course, but most of the work he does is in the club showers

The CEO starts his day at 5:00AM not 8:00AM and usually works until the sun goes down while most workers punch out at 5:00PM and go about their own personal business

Being a CEO takes brain power and management skills you wouldn't understand.

Probably not one of the 3000 "workers" could could do what he does, and his skills make their jobs possible.

Try to become a CEO.

And come on back when you find out what it takes to become one.
