is there any legal action you can take? Like defamation of character or something? I mean the proof is in the e-mail right...

You have a right to privacy, regardless of claims to the contrary here and elsewhere. If the pictures were taken without your consent to publish them whether for profit or not, your right to privacy is being usurped. It will be difficult to prosecute such a case, but if you think your rights are being stomped on and stand on principles rather than convenience it could be worth it. You could contact your federal congressional representative to ask them how to proceed. Look up who your rep is online and you can email them with your concerns. Also you could try your state legislative representative with your concerns. Good luck.
I can't believe these are Americans putting their trashy opinions of what your rights are in the USA. They are so wrong. Any picture or video taken while there was expected privacy cannot be distributed without permission, under penalty of law.

Click into REPORT ABUSE on this Yahoo site and phone the police. This is completely illegal anywhere in North America. If the person who sent the E-Mail can be traced and that person resides in North America, the local police will lay a charge for two reasons: #1-It is illegal to blackmail a person through an E-Mail #2-It is illegal to request that someone "spread naked" if the receiver of the E-Mail (depending on the jurisdiction) is 18 or under, 16 or under etc. The illegality of the blackmail has no age limit. Therefore if you are 15 or under report it immediately for the 2 reasons given.

They are already on the net so too little too late. Anyone can see them. Threatening to spread them is not a crime unless they are trying to get something from you. Truth is an absolute defense and your naked pictures are there.

There is nothing you can do, yet. You haven't lost anything. Besides, the pictures are his, you gave them to him, didn't you?
What is he doing with naked pictures of you in the first place, silly girl?

Report them to the police. This is at minimum a form of harassment and could be blackmail. Keep the email as evidence.

My job isn't supposed to give you support, it's to answer your stupid questions. Don't come on here looking for a sympathy circle.
