In a post apocalyptic world with no police, law, and infrastructure, would women become property?

To be traded and sold for other survival materials such as guns,food, and other resources. Actually, they would probably be a burden to feed.

Some of the ones without family to protect them and without considerate Husbands or boyfriend might. Just because laws are taken away, it doesn't mean that people suddenly lose all apathy and morals and become evil. My partner would never let something like that happen to me.

Even now young girls are property all over the world, even in the US, and they are treated as assets of sex service. Is it possible that this would become a norm, rather than a black market? Perhaps. Women are traded for items all of the time, it's called a dowry. Burden, not likely; women can hunt, shoot, farm, make clothing, milk cows, and clean - women are not treated as burdens, because women do everything that men refuse to, and then some, but young girls have been known to, even in developed societies like China.

There'd be no "feminists' in such a society. Just like there were none on the Titanic or during the age of prehistoric man. Feminism ONLY arose because females were extremely well protected by men.

There are no feminists on the battlefield. You can take the most hardcore feminist and put her in that situation and we'll see a dramatic change. She'll suddenly become 'defenseless' and need 'protecting'. And men would be more inclined to protect them. Which is why women are kept away from the battlefield unless it's absolutely necessary.

Some would. Women would seek the protection of the strongest, most powerful men. Well, women have families-- husbands, brothers, sons, uncles, etc. and these men would not take kindly to their women being abused sexually or physically, so the men would defend their women. Families would band together forming tribes that work together for their continued survival and laws and social standards would be implemented. Basically, it would be starting all over from a cultural standpoint and the social structure would spring forth spontaneous, gaining complexity over time.

Do you know anything about prison culture and life? That is the basic behavior of humans without authority at its basest level, with the exception that there are no women and more males than usual are forced to assume the passive female role. To see what it would be like just substitute the males forced to be females in prison with actual females and that is what the initial state of mankind would be.

In real life, Dr. Glock's magical equalizing machine would address any disparities in upper body strength between men and women. And there are plenty of women I'd trust to watch my back while I sleep. Certainly I'd trust 'em better than -you-.

Once a slaver, always a slaver. They have no redeeming characteristics whatsoever. In a post-apocalyptic world, slavers need to be staked out in the city park for the rats and vultures.

Some would as some men would. All this nonviolence that was taught pre apocalypse would decide who became the possessed or the possessor...if nonviolence was embraced then being a possession would follow.
