I highly doubt that any attorney would practice family law in two states. Why would you need such a person anyway?

I recently became unemployed and need to apply for an adjustment for child support. I live in San Diego (El Cajon) and the court website says these are either done through the family court facilitator (and a family court judge) or the Department of Child support services but it doesn't really indicate what circumstances determine where you go.

Wouldn't a judge have more experience vs. a comissioner who I believe may only be an attorney in this case?
