Yes, Medicare covers pre-existing conditions.

If your conditions are from a w.c. injury, however, it depends on how you settled the case. If settled by Stipulations with open medical, then your medical care will be handled through the carrier and Medicare really has no involvement. If settled by Compromise & Release AND you were a Medicare recipient or Medicare eligible at the time of settlement, then the future medical portions should have been resolved through a Medicare Set-Aside (MSA) (self-administered or professionally administered trust fund for future treatment). The MSA provides an overall exhaustion amount for future medical care. If that amount is exceeded, Medicare will pick up those industrially covered body parts.

Medicare does cover pre-existing medical conditions but not Workers Compensation. Workers Compensation defines a so-called compensable area of injury. There is life-long coverage through Workers Compensation for this specific 'body part' but the coverage is for this specific body part only.
